This Privacy Policy explains how the Bhumi Mitra Team ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use our Android applications.

By using any of our applications, you agree to the collection and use of information as described herein. This policy complies with the Google Play Developer Program Policies, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for European Union users.

• Crop photos for AI-powered disease diagnosis via Google Gemini AI API.
• Land record scanning for OCR text extraction.
• Images may be transmitted to Google servers for AI processing.

3.4 Land Records & Agricultural Data

• Khasra numbers, area measurements, plot data — stored in your Firebase account.

3.5 Community Data

• Posts, comments, and likes in the Farmer Community — visible to other app users.

• Authentication: Verify identity and maintain login sessions via Firebase Auth.
• Core Features: GPS land measurement, weather, AI crop diagnosis, OCR, nearby services.
• Community: Enable posting, commenting, and social interactions.
• Notifications: Weather alerts, crop advisories, and announcements via FCM.
• Personalization: Language, theme, and region-specific content.
• Advertising: Display ads through Google AdMob to keep the app free.
• Improvement: Understand usage patterns, fix issues, and improve features.

7 Advertising (Google AdMob)

We display ads through Google AdMob to keep the app free. Ad formats used:

• Banner Ads — small ads at top/bottom of screens.
• Interstitial Ads — full-screen ads at natural transitions.
• Rewarded Ads — optional ads for in-app rewards.

Control Ad Personalization

• Device: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
• Online: Google Ad Settings
• You can reset your Advertising ID at any time via device settings.

8 Data Storage & Security

Data is stored on Google Firebase (Google Cloud Platform) servers. Local preferences are stored on-device via Shared Preferences.

• HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit.
• Firebase Security Rules restrict access to authorized users.
• OTP-based auth — no passwords stored.

9 Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do NOT sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties.

• Service providers: Data shared with SDKs listed in Section 6 solely for app functionality.
• Community content: Your posts/comments are visible to other users.
• Legal obligations: Disclosure if required by law or governmental request.
• Safety: To protect rights, property, or safety as permitted by law.

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data.
• Correction: Update your profile within the app.
• Deletion: Request account & data deletion — email bhumimitraapp@gmail.com. Processed within 30 days.
• Withdraw Consent: Delete your account or contact us.
• Permissions: Revoke device permissions via Settings.
• Ad Preferences: Manage via Google Ad Settings.
• Notifications: Disable via device settings.

11 India DPDP Act 2023 Compliance

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023:

• Lawful Purpose: Data collected only for purposes described in this policy.
• Consent: Your informed consent is obtained before data collection. You are a Data Principal under the DPDP Act.
• Data Minimization: Only necessary data is collected.
• Accuracy: You can update your data within the app.
• Storage Limitation: Data retained only as long as necessary.
• Data Principal Rights: Access, correct, erase data, and nominate another person for rights exercise.

International Transfers

Data stored on Google Firebase servers which may be outside the EEA. Google uses Standard Contractual Clauses and other mechanisms for adequate protection. See Google's data transfer frameworks.

13 Children's Privacy

Our apps are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact bhumimitraapp@gmail.com — we will delete it promptly.

14 Data Retention

• Account data: Retained until you request deletion.
• Land records: Retained until deleted by you or upon account deletion.
• Community posts: Retained until individually deleted or account deletion.
• AI diagnosis photos: Processed in real-time; not stored permanently.
• FCM tokens: Automatically refreshed by Firebase.
• Local preferences: Cleared on app uninstall or data clear.

Deletion requests are processed within 30 days.

15 Internet Connectivity

Our apps require an active internet connection for most features. Standard carrier data charges may apply — we are not responsible for such charges.

16 Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. The "Last Updated" date will be revised, and significant changes will be communicated via push notification or in-app notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
